“Working through trauma can be tough and
I will be here to support you through the process.”
On the inside, you might be overwhelmed, falling apart, carrying an unbearable weight on your shoulders, feel alone and isolated, or scattered. Maybe you’ve felt shame and blamed yourself for what has happened to you, even though it’s not your fault.
You are successful and seem to have it all together – those around you always wonder how you do it. But you are searching for a breath of fresh air, a sense of calm, and hope. You want to find balance and feel whole again – maybe you don’t even know what that feels like.
You want to make sense of things that have happened and heal.
You want to feel lighter and less burdened by the heaviness that you have been carrying. You want to know how to take care of yourself, speak up and not feel guilty or selfish for doing so. You aim to feel confident in your decisions and boundaries. You want to learn what feels soothing, peaceful, calm. You want to feel present, clear and empowered.
I majored in French in college and have a love of all things Paris. I absolutely love the outdoors and traveling.
In the summer you might find me kayaking, reading or practicing yoga outside, or just in general soaking in the fresh air and vitamin D. I have a cat named Lucy, who sometimes pops in to say hello during my virtual sessions
“I love watching my clients achieve personal breakthroughs in their lives.”
You no longer recognize the person you have become.
Although you keep trying to change the same habit, cycle, addiction, or anxious feelings, you never get any better.
Do you want to overcome whatever is keeping you “down” and stuck?
Helping others achieve breakthroughs in their lives is why I became a therapist. It’s what I do best!
Together, we can set attainable personal goals to find solutions to any problems you are currently facing.
I am compassionate, have a great sense of humor and contagious laugh, and easily build relationships with others. I believe in creating a dialogue in session and talking to you. I want to create a safe place for you to share things with me.
I have always loved helping people and was born for this job! I have worked as a therapist since 2006. I worked with addictions, including recovery relapse prevention, anxiety, and emotional family issues.
I use thought-based therapy to discover how you think and how you behave to help you create a plan for change.
I believe that we are a team. We collaborate at each session. We are in it together, but you must show up with me every session ready to move forward and work. It won’t be easy, but it will be life-changing.
When I am not a superstar therapist, I love spending time in my garden and being with my family – my wife and son. I love hiking and being in nature. I am up for new things and adventures as long as it doesn’t involve any math!
Contact me today to find out more information about how I can help you, and we can check off the first step to the life you deserve.
“I help my clients not just get through each day but find enjoyment in each day.”
Depressed, anxious, sad, and misunderstood.
Do you snap at people and are quickly irritated by others?
If you are experiencing any of these thoughts or feelings, I encourage you to talk with me. We all want to be happy and in control of our own lives! You are no different, and I know together that we can create a plan to get you moving in the direction of a happy life.
I know it’s hard to talk to a stranger and share your deepest concerns, pains, or worries. If you need to express your feelings or thoughts to someone who is not judgmental and easy-going in conversations, I may be a good fit for your needs.
We will work together to identify problems from the first session, come up with moving solutions, and work on mindfulness training. Through dialectical and behavioral therapy, we will work toward a happier, more in control you!
I have been a therapist for 12 years and have experience treating depression, anxiety, issues with food (over, under, and emotional eating), sleep issues, and irritability.
I enjoy helping others feel better and am passionate about helping you create a life you enjoy – step by step.
When I am not conquering the world with my clients, you can find me walking my two dogs – Sparky and Max – on the beach with my long-term partner.
You will, however, not find me in the kitchen – unless I am there to eat. I am not a chef, but I could be a food critic.
I also enjoy lazy Sundays by the pool, swimming with friends, and finding enjoyment every day!
“My clients are the most courageous individuals I know.”
If you’re struggling to cope with grief and don’t have anyone to talk to about how you feel, have no idea how you got “here” but want to be “there,” or are looking for someone who can understand where you are coming from and has been in similar shoes, I can help.
Suppose you’re interested in making a SHIFT in self-awareness, solving puzzles with your own resources, making headway in your life in whatever area that is holding you back or frozen in place. In that case, you may be interested in having me join you on your journey.
I listen, can relate, and have been “there.” We are in this together.
I am excited to help you discover how you got where you are today and how to grow toward where you want to be tomorrow. I enjoy empowering you to tap into your inner strengths and skills to build your happier life.
Do you want to change and move forward but feel misunderstood and unheard?
You are important. I will listen, not judge, and provide unconditional positive regard to your personal growth. I will create a safe space for you to be honest and open. My goal is to provide an empathetic yet mindful ear as we work – as a team – toward finding solutions to whatever you are facing, wherever you are.
I am passionate about solution-focused therapy and think my clients are the most courageous individuals I know. I am creative with each client and personalize my therapy toward you. During my 40 years as a therapist, I have never seen the same situation twice. Each client is unique! You are special.
As a therapist for 40 years, I have never seen the same situation or client twice. You are special and deserve special treatment.
In addition to having a job that is my life’s passion, I am a grandmother, walker, reader, and dreamer, and I can make the best chocolate chip cookies and beat you in a game of pickleball in a single afternoon – ask my two cats, Bubba and Lulu.
I work best with clients who can appreciate my individualized, honest approach, sense of humor, and warm regard for his/her journey. I am a Certified Dream Therapist if you want to unravel some of those mysteries and discover delightful insights!
If you want to move forward in your life and feel unstuck, allow me to help you solve the puzzles you are facing. To make a proactive change in your life, contact me. I am on your side.
“I care. I want to see my clients improve and feel their best.”
I have been providing services for individuals and families in the Emergency Services, mental health outpatient settings, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment, as well as extensive clinical supervision to counselors providing intensive community-based services for over 20 years.
My goal is to provide a safe environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings about the traumatic event(s), and get relief from their symptoms.
I enjoy working with adults experiencing anxiety or depression problems, people struggling with addiction issues or those who are having difficulties coping after trauma.
I’m here to help people through difficult times whether it is during a disaster or a trauma they may have experienced earlier in life.
When I’m not providing therapy, one of my favorite pastimes is going to live sporting events with my son and friends. I also enjoy cooking for my family. Especially with my cast iron skillet.
